Polar Wi‑Fi Acceptable Use Policy

1. Residential Use Only
Polar Wi‑Fi services are intended solely for personal, non-commercial household use. Using the service for business operations, reselling, or providing access to others outside your residence is prohibited.

2. Fair Use of Bandwidth
Although we do not enforce strict data caps, internet usage must align with typical residential behavior. Excessive use — such as constant high-volume file sharing, server hosting, or other business-level demands — may result in service warnings, bandwidth throttling, or suspension.

3. Legal and Respectful Use
Customers must use Polar Wi‑Fi services in a lawful and respectful manner. Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:

  • Sharing or accessing copyrighted content without authorization

  • Harassment, defamation, or threats

  • Distribution of obscene, illegal, or exploitative material

4. Spam and Bulk Messaging
Sending unsolicited bulk messages or email (spam), or any form of mass messaging without recipient consent, is not allowed. Commercial communications must comply with applicable regulations.

5. Network and Security Protections
You may not use Polar Wi‑Fi services to interfere with, disrupt, or compromise network security. This includes:

  • Unauthorized access to devices, systems, or data

  • Network scanning, hacking attempts, or denial-of-service attacks

  • Use of tools like packet sniffers, keyloggers, or password crackers

6. Software Integrity
Distributing malware, viruses, ransomware, or any software intended to harm or deceive is strictly prohibited. Customers are expected to maintain basic security hygiene on their connected devices, including up-to-date antivirus and firmware.

7. Equipment Usage
All Polar Wi‑Fi-provided equipment (such as routers or modems) remains the property of the company. Unauthorized modification, servicing, or tampering is not allowed. If equipment is lost, stolen, or damaged through misuse, the customer may be charged for replacement and labor.

8. IP Address Management
All IP addresses are dynamically assigned unless otherwise agreed upon. Manually assigning or configuring static IPs without prior approval is not permitted and may disrupt service.

9. Network Management and Monitoring
To ensure reliable service for all users, Polar Wi‑Fi utilizes network management tools and may monitor traffic patterns to identify policy violations. Customers consent to this as a condition of service.

10. Enforcement of Policy
If a customer violates this policy, Polar Wi‑Fi may take appropriate action, which could include warnings, bandwidth reduction, temporary suspension, or termination of service. We reserve the right to take legal action where applicable.

11. Policy Updates
Polar Wi‑Fi may modify this Acceptable Use Policy at any time. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of any changes. Notification of significant updates will be provided, and customers are encouraged to review the policy periodically.
